ERIC CARLE HONORS 2017

Centerpieces created to honor children's author and illustrator Ed Young, best known for “The House Baba Built” and “Lon Po Po.” Young uses mixed media collage, incorporating different papers, writings, crayon, watercolor, acrylics, etc. The centerpieces were designed to imitate his style of collage and intimate family stories. Interactive so participants could write letters and leave their own mementos. Most centerpieces were auctioned off for the museum and not pictured.
